landscapes of North Carolina, where the echoes of Ancestors flow through the waters, sands,

and trees. This film captures a rich tapestry of memories, intertwining the joys, sorrows, and

enduring resilience that define Black life. For over 400 years, the guiding spirits of our Ancestors have been shaping our Afrofuture, infusing each frame with their wisdom and strength.

The film weaves together the threads of Afro-Carolinian resistance, creativity, and liberation,

celebrating the profound spirituality that vibrates through our history. It journeys through the

past, illuminating the paths forged by those who came before, as we shape a future where we

can authentically exist and thrive.
